What the power of visualization is?
The power of visualization is directly related to the Law of Attraction. After all, the main concept is to visualize an idea in your mind and it will be attracted to you.
The truth is that there are two different kinds of people: the ones who always expect the worst and the ones who always expect the best. If you think about the people you know, you can probably think about someone who is always worrying about what can go wrong. And the reality is that it ends up happening. This is why the power of visualization is so strong: you will focus on a positive idea, on a goal that you have, and you will be attracting it to you.
All the ideas that you read or write down contain mental images. These mental images are a combination of experiences, feelings, and pictures. This is why professional athletes use visualization all the time. They create an image of themselves executing their difficult physical actions and succeeding. And the best part is that you can do it too.
Some tips to help you with visualizations
Here are some tips to help you with your visualizations:
#1: Know What You Want
The first thing is to actually know your goal. When you have it defined in your head, don’t think about the challenges that you have to get there. Instead, you should think about what you will do when you get there, think about the moment when you realized you reached your goal.
#2: Keep Visualizing
One of the things that some people don’t understand about visualization is that they assume they just need to visualize their goals once and they’re done. However, this isn’t how you should do it. In fact, you should visualize your goal as often as you can throughout the day. You don’t need to visualize for half an hour or for even 5 minutes. Sometimes, half of a minute or a simple will be more than enough.
#3: Keep Your Image Clear
When you are using the power of visualization, you need to ensure that you are making your image as clear as you can. When you are too vague, you will get a vague outcome.
Believing in what you are visualizing is crucial. When you are seeing the image in your head, you need to believe that you will get there. Otherwise, visualization won’t do you any good.
To ensure that you get the most out of your visualizations, here are some techniques that you can use:
#1: Match An Image And An Affirmation To Each Goal and Create a Vision Board
One of the things that you can do to empower your visualization is to create an image and an affirmation for every goal that you have.
Vision Board is an effective, as well as fun, tool.
It’s a collage of images and words representing your wishes or goals, intended to serve as inspiration or motivation.
Without thinking what are the steps to achieve the goals, without thinking about the difficulties you might encounter, allow yourself to think only about what you would like in your life and translate them into images.
Make sure the vision board is around you every day, even better if it’s in your planner, as Simple Tiny Shifts.
#2: Use A Mental Rehearsal Technique
This is probably one of the most popular visualization techniques. In fact, the first ones to use this visualization technique were Russian athletes back in the 1960s.
To use this technique, you just need to write a few lines of your goal and how it will make you feel when you achieve it. Then, just take a few minutes of your day and say them, out loud, in the form of a prayer. The best times to repeat this is when you wake up and before you go to bed.
#3: Use Index Cards
Using index cards is a similar strategy to the previous one. In this case, you will need to write down each one of your goals in one index card. Then, every morning and every night, just grab the cards with your goals, one at a time. Read the first card, close your eyes, and see yourself reaching it for about 15 seconds. Do the same for all your cards.
